Right right away we have the little Corelle ware as well as I’ve had them for the whilst as well as by possibly event or only removing lost, I’m to the indicate where we wish to get something new. I’ve only been seeking on-line during the little opposite brands; corelle, pfaltzgraff, lenox, denby etc. There is the total spetrum of cost ranges. we know which all meals can break, though if we go with the some-more dear code similar to Lenox or Denby, have been my meals reduction expected to break? What have the little meals so costly?
As the side note, the couple of years ago, we recollect saying the china settlement probable during macys which was all formed off the lighthouse\ocean\nautical theme. Anyone know what code which was?

I recommend a neutral solid color plate such as corelle. You want the food to be the centerpiece, not the plate it’s on. Although corelle will break, they are pretty tough. Beware of stoneware…many have high lead levels. I do not recommend glass because if it does not heat evenly, it can basically explode on you. Example, if you nuke a serving of say mashed potatoes on one spot of a large plate, that area of glass is going to heat up and try to expand. If the rest of the plate doesn’t expand at the same rate, then the plate shatters China chips easily leaving sharp edges and you have to worry about the possibility of lead again. They say you get what you pay for…sometimes you pay to get ripped off then. You can find corelle on clearance or sale and get a really good deal. You can use cheap dishes and save the money for quality where it truly matters, like your knives. Wustof knives are the best on the planet, are safer to use, easier to control and hold a razor sharp edge for a long time.

I buy mine at the dollar store. I prefer the look of glass plates over stoneware or china and I can’t beat the price. I have to say I haven’t had too many of them break. I have a set of Pfaltzgraff from when I got married and it’s almost indestructable. Fiestaware is another workhorse. MIL bought me a set of those and they hold up like a dream.
Yes, my cupboards overfloweth. I should downsize a tad.

My Master only has the best dishes and they are so easy to wash. Their are no crevices for the food to get stuck on.

macys.com and some other dept stores let the customers review the dishes and customers will tell you if they chip easily , dishwasher proof and everything else. also the dimemsions are really important too. the department stores will put them on sale with free shipping so you don[t have to carry them thru the mall to the parking lot. I think its best to buy a good brand so you can add pieces and buy open stock. mixing and matching is also big too. good luck

Buy the cheapest dishes you can find. They will last just as long, and if you brake one, no big deal!! Right???If you want some good dishes for company , thats a different story!!Dishes do get broken, more so when kids are around!!

if you buy the cheap ones like at walmart they will etch from cutting your food. i love the corelle due to the fact that they are light, durable, inexpensive. they have some now that are very up to date. the square plates, etc. i also believe corelle had and may still have a pattern in the nautical theme. i have been through many many sets and everytime i get something other than corelle, i am not happy with them for long. so i have now bought several sets, all the matching bowls, platters, casserole dishes and they are going to be with me until death do we part.
