What are some more ideas on how to stop thinking too much?

What I’ve come up with so distant is:
-focus upon something droll similar to the humerous entertainment film or show
-involve yourself in primer wake up similar to handicrafts, baking, gardening
-let your thoughts only upsurge instead of violation any the single down

Do those have clarity as well as do we have any alternative suggestions?
I do not have the complaint of meditative as well much. This is for recommendation for the friend, as well as I’m only looking out some-more suggestions.

in my yoga class we would focus on external things, such as physical sensations, noises, smells etc (eyes closed, so no visuals). this kind of breaks the chain of random thought cycle. then move in your ‘let you thoughs flow’ thing, visualising each thought come and go, accepting that you are thinking, but not extending the thought. good luck, i’m interested to see what other people come up with!

why dont you want to think? thats sounds like such a wrong question. if you are thinking about things that make you afriad, then i would go for a long run. that usually calms me down.

I suffer from the crazy brain syndrome also. (where you have 654312 million things floatin through it) you could always go to sleep, after taking some nightime cold medicine of course.) take a bath, or read!

No, they don’t make sense. your thinking to much. kick back relax watch something that requires no thinking like spongebob or the simpsons. the rest of the crap you’ll start thinking just meditate and don’t think let all your thoughts go away. and focusing yeah focus on something simple like a piece of wax and forget about everything. but just let go thats the easiest method.

Anything to stop the psychobabble. Try riding a bike, fast, for ten miles. Try watching a night sky with a telescope. Sit up high above a freeway, and watch the traffic. Find a nice quiet corner, and force yourself to think nothing in words for 15 secs. Do that a couple of times a day. Distract yourself, and it’s going to be fine. Silence is golden.
