I agree that cherry wood would look great in both rooms
In the rose pink room, the paint would bring out the red in the wood, and it would look really pretty. I had this color combination for awhile, and the effect was kind of victorian/romantic.
For the seafoam room, the colors would be a little more contrasting, which should look really great as well. Cherry is my favorite, but if you find it too dark, I think white or maple would look very nice as well.
